Feb 10th VC related events, news, articles for VNTR Investors
Hello friends,
It is been a week since we announced our rebranding from Tribe-V to VNTR Capital.
We are still undergoing the rebranding of our assets and should finish in the next two weeks.
This week we sent personal invitations to join our new syndicated investment into leading transportation and mobility company in Europe and Africa. We are planning to close the syndicate on Tuesday, Feb 15th. You can respond to this newsletter if you would like to get more information and join the syndicate.
We are continuously sourcing new late-stage investment opportunities (Series B+) where you can co-invest by joining VNTR syndicate. We would be happy to discuss partnerships with VCs where we could co-invest in primary rounds or invest in available pro-rata in growth rounds.
VNTR community is growing rapidly, we onboarded more than 50 new members in the past 3 weeks. The community membership is complimentary for vetted active investors who join to collaborate, co-invest, attend VNTR events and provide/get peer support. Apply to Join

Tiger Global Raised $11 Billion for New Venture Fund, Exceeding Target
Tiger Global Management, the New York-based hedge fund that made more private tech investments than any other firm last year, raised more than $11 billion for its latest venture capital fund as of January, according to a person familiar with the matter. The firm plans to close the fund, Private Investment Partners 15, in March with a total of $12 billion, up from the initial target of $10 billion set last year, the person said.

Why 2022 insurtech investment could surprise you
There were two markets for insurtech startups in 2021: one welcoming and one dismissive. Private market investors poured capital into promising insurtech startups, while the public markets sent the value of recently public insurtech companies down — and then further down as the year progressed. The decline in the value of public insurtech unicorns was a theme that The Exchange covered throughout last year, noting rising damage as valuations fell from low to lower. And yet when CB Insights dropped its 2021 fintech data collection, it noted that global insurtech venture activity hit a new high in the year. In 2021, insurtech funding reached 566 deals (an all-time record and a 21% gain over 2020) and $15.4 billion in capital (again, an all-time record, and a 90% gain over 2020.)

The Week’s 10 Biggest Funding Rounds: Cruise Crushes With $1.35B Round, Cyara Closes $350M To Provide Better Customer Service
Just like most weeks, there were lots of large rounds collected by U.S.-based startups, but none came even remotely close to what Cruise did. The autonomous car manufacturer with a knack for raising large amounts of cash did it again, closing a $1.35 billion round—the largest round a VC-backed, U.S.-based company has raised this year.
2021 was a record-breaking year for cybersecurity startups
2021 may have been a rough year for cybersecurity, but it was a record-breaking year for security startups. According to new data from Momentum Cyber, a financial advisory firm for the security industry, cybersecurity startups raised a “record-shattering” $29.5 billion in venture capital last year, more than doubling the $12 billion raised in 2020 and outpacing the two previous years combined.
Why VC Investors Are Plowing Record Sums Into Agtech
Shifts in how people think about food, investing and even changes brought about by COVID-19 have led to more money—and more deals—in the agtech sector than ever before. Last year was a record year for agtech, with nearly $5 billion invested in the sector in 440 funding deals to VC-backed startups, according to Crunchbase data. That far outstrips the $3.3 billion invested in 422 deals in 2020.
